well i have the pioneer and its great but it takes a few seconds between songs on the mp3 function and it doesnt move faster when u hold down the next song button, u have to do it one at a time, it has id3 capability which is really really nice, make sure u get this. my friend has an alpine mp3 player and it plays better but does not have as many sound equalizing options

so to sum it up the pioneer has better display and it has id3 capability and much better equalizer settings and the alpine is faster between songs but not as great a display and not as great equalizer settings, if u have any more questions, email me at anthonyfg@attbi.com
