Alarm + baseball bat FTW!

You won't be around your car 24/7... There will be moments when you're miles away from your car, and Alarm + Baseball = Useless.

Yeah I know... I'm looking into getting a bunch of additional alarm accessories... should help a bit. My car was keyed once, cost a ton of money to get the doors repainted. This is the first year my car is gonna be parked in the school, it's one of the nicest cars believe it or not, and I'm a bit worried.

The full proof way of not getting jack is to not show people your stuff. Thieves don't nessesarily have to see it to know you have something. They just gotta hear it. Like the old saying goes, "Out of mind, out of sight." Besides, no one likes a showoff anyways.

people can break into cars for seemingly no reason, too.

my girlfriend got two windows smashed in and all her stuff riffled through, and all they took was my poker chips (~$100) and some drinking glasses form Target ($10). she has a blazer with tinted windows, and absolutely nothing was in plain view! no deck no sound system, none of the stuff that was stolen was visible. i really have no idea why they chose her's (it's in a parking ramp across from our aparment, there's hundreds of cars in it), and why they chose to break two windows instead of just one (and unlocking the door) doesn't make much sense either. mostly just caused a pain for her to deal with the insurance company, file a police report, wait a few days before she could get new windows installed, etc.
