I'm new here so a big HELLO to everyone! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I hope y'all doing good today. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I have a question about basic speaker wiring.
I have a Sony head unit which takes 4 - 8 ohm speakers.
I have 2 mid range speakers and would like to add 2 tweeters which are all 4 ohm's
The tweeters are old ones taken from a 2001 ford fiesta and they each have what I think is a little transistor or filter for the Hi Frequencies on one of the terminals.
I'd like to know if I can piggyback them off the mid range speakers. They do not have a filter connected to the terminals.
I'm thinking that if I connect 2 speakers making 8 ohm's to one output it should be ok.
I know a crossover's and amplifiers is the correct way to go but I currently cant afford them.
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but I'm not so good with car audio.
Many thanks in advance.
