i had 2 80's body monte ss's with V8's and i feel chevy should have continued the tradition

Since almost everyone I know with the L67 power pland LOVEs it, I don't see why one person who has problems with theirs is going to keep me from loving it. My 00 GTP had 91K on it when I sold it not one problem with it.

I hope it does better for you than it did for me. I still like my car, don't get me wrong, but I have babied every since I got it in 05' and for the engine to throw a rod outta nowwhere WTF?

Hotshot Monte Carlo President? Do you know anything about me? What is your point. I had numerous mornings getting phone calls; "Can you come get me, my car won't start;" "My car is losing it's take-off power;" "Dude said my catalytic convertor is gone;" "Man, I think I need a new ******, engine revving like crazy;" .........I really could go on and on. Then my infamous call to my wife; "Um baby, I think something slammed into my engine," only to find out that I threw a rod through my engine block. This was awful considering that my check engine light never came on.

What monte carlos are you talking about here, the 5th gen or the 00 + ones ? I've had a 5th gen, and this is my second... uh 6th gen.
