Picture your own death. Realistically. It's CERTAIN, and it's just a bit ahead....

Seriously.

It is.

Feel your heart beating.

Your lungs filling.

Deflating.

You're a bag of shit keeping the spark afloat that's able to read this, and you have an expiration date. There's no cynicism, no wealth, no distraction that can protect you from this ultimate, perfect, and undeniable fact.

Do you still feel immortal, strong, cynical, superior?

If so, you're living wrong.

Why are we all so terrified to acknowledge our deaths if they are so inevitable?

Literally almost every problem man has ever had, individually and as a whole, has been related to an inability to accept the fact that we aren't forever.

I'm not even any different.

I'd probably scoff at anyone saying shit like this to me in any context, but nothing that I've written is anything less than utter truth.

It's the one fact that for all of our wisdom and cleverness we purposely ignore to protect our sanity.

Spend time worrying about what you can change. Death is inevitable, you can't change it, quit worrying about it...spend the time on something useful.

Things one considers useful are SIGNIFICANTLY different when one acknowledges death actively.
