Its realling not about the listing design. Its more about the price your selling at, the category and keywords use, and how well you describe the item to appeal to a buyer

FYI: If you sell an item on eghey for .99 and take paypal, you have LOST money!
I used to sell a lot, then stopped because the fee's have gotten completley out of control. You HAVE to overcharge on shipping and "handling" to recoup some of the fees. That said, it is not the flashy page that sells, it is the description, pictures and your feedback. Someone will pay a little more for the same item you are selling if they are concerned about a low feedback rating. I was a power seller at one time, but let it go.

ya i am aware of most of those tips, other than the bj however. i am mainly concerned about how to get free templates and apply them to my auction. that being said, i know how to take good pictures of my item and how to make the title stand out.
