Are there any good Pics or Vids on how to plexiglass one side of a subwoofer box? Does anyone sell inexpensive plexiglass and how thick does it have to be? I have heared that its better to use double sided tape instead of glue (for a better look). Plexi thickness would be bassed on speaker size and power

I found the guy on ebay that does some cutting. I still don't know how to put it together if I did the whole thing plexiglass or how to cut the holes for the subs without cracking it? I have a pretty good idea of how to do one side plexiglass. How thick if I'm running 3200 watts to 2 subs for one side plexiglass box ? Is the plexiglass stronger than mdf if they are the same thickness?

Will the subs be in set in the plexi or is the plexi just a viewing window. If they are set in it then I would use 3/4 to 1inch thick. 1inch whould be prefered for the just incase factor. If its just a viewing window you should be able to get by with 1/2inch or 3/4inch. Pre drill all your holes VERY carefully with a drill bit. Or you will crack it by just drilling screws right in. Through a neon in to light it up. You can get a vinal (i cant spell) grafics sticker done (have the design done in revers) place it on the inside part of the plexi and sand all the plexi around it, peel the sticker and everything will look frosted over exept for the design. Becarefull sanding around the sticker though. Then light it up with neon. The results are sick.

If you do the whole thing in plexi use at least 1inch thick for the whole thing. A 4by8 sheet of 1inch plexi (the same size as a sheet of mdf) will run about $500 to $700 depending on where you go. Always price check your local places, Lowes, Home depot, ext.

i dont think you would want to use plexi, it flexes alot! acrylic is alot harder.

myhcca, that's pretty slick! Do you get any flex? Do you have some kind of metal tube on the inside edges or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Plexiglas is just a brand name for an acrylic product.
