Yeah that other sleeve on seedubs looks good too. Nice lines, should turn out awesome! Is that a coy fish though? Not big on those myself, plus see way to many of those anymore. I have two tribal tats though, so what do I know, lol!
i'm just keeping it in blacks and grays. i'm not big on the whole color tattoo scene yet. in order for me to get color i'd have to be a tattoo that should be so vivid it HAS to be in color. like one of the artists from the shop i go to has a whole underwater see creature sleeve, with rare colorful fish that would look silly in black and white. but i'll probably go get it filled in in the next month or so provided i have the money to do so.Yeah, it's a koi.....I do agree about there being too many people with them though. Especially women. I doubt they even know the significance of what a koi stands for in Japanese culture.
But, I didn't get it for the fad. I got it because of the meaning behind it, as well as the fact that I'm pretty into asian culture (the old ball and chain is from asia).
And to the OP, when are you getting some color done on it? I'm interested to see how it fills out. Are you going bright, or dull and more realistic?
