I'm an expert in old, worn out car parts. My car just hit 278k this week.

A couple weeks ago I stopped a qt./wk oil leak by replacing the oil pressure sender ($9 and 30 min)...keeping junk running is what I do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Um....what year is the vehicle? A cracked serpentine belt doesn't always mean it needs to be replaced.

For instance, the belt on my truck is made out of kevlar. It is cracked all to hell and i have taken it off and tried to break it with no luck.

yes, its very funny when people spend hundreds of dollars because they dont know how to change shit or even want to take a look under the hood or car. brake job? clutch? mother ****ing head gaskets??? haha

the car is a '97 or whoever asked..

the serp. belt is like 30 bucks from napa, i'm just gonna get one and put it on...i was told to a while ago, and just forgot about it, but i'm gonna get that done tuesday. thanks

No, i am saying if it IS made of kevlar then it does not need to be replaced. I just know that my belt is kevlar and that it has a 1 million mile warranty.
