Picking out the correct amp

I'm going to be powering my front and rear speakers of my SUV 6x8's. I'm not to sure of what type or wattage of a amp I need. I may upgrade eventually and add a sub as well.

Rear 6x8's

Rockford Fosgate T1682C

Front 6x8's

Rockford Fosgate R1682

I have a 02' Ford Escape and on Escape forums it seems it easier to just run a cable from the amp to the HU and connect that amp cable to the factory speaker cable. Its way more convenient and less of a pain this way.

Get a amp that does close to the rms rating of the speakers.

And the second question. It all maters in how much power you run. Most would just run from the amp to the speakers.

So run entire new speaker wire throughout the car? I'm meaning run speaker wire from the amp to the HU and cut into factory wire there. How many channels would I need for an amp?

Like Haze said get an amp that does a little more then the RMS on your speakers and run the wire from the amp to each door...
