Amp Fusing To Max output Formula

Roughly 10w per amp.

IE, my 9.1 is 120a, so we guess it does 1200w, which it actually does.

Also, amperage x voltage= watts

100a x 12v = 1200w, but that's at 100% efficiency.

100a x 12v x 80% = 960w at 80% efficiency.

Maybe not dead on, but food for thought.

 
I really disagree with using these formulas for basically anything. Manufacturers rate their amplifiers' power output for a reason. Just because the fusing may be a bit larger doesn't mean the amplifier is going to produce more than rated power. I don't know what you want these formulas for but they're worthless IMO.

 
Well I bought one of the Autotek M4000.1D's as a cheap backup to my 9.1 and noticed it only had 140A in it so wanted a quick formula to get about what it actually would do.
