Thanks for all the suggestions in coming up with a sub for my setup. If there ever was a case of information overload this is it. I've gotten so much good info that its hard to figure out which way to go. Its great that we have so many options for our sound...but it can also be tough to make a decision. So....if I cant find something in one of our local pawn shops in the next day or two...here's what I'm looking at. Biggest issue I face is whether to go 2-10's or single 12". Sealed enclosure is a given (for the most part). My amp delivers 410 w rms @ 2 ohm. So far its down to one of these setups:
* 2 - 10" Memphis Audio power reference speakers (200w rms each)
* 2- 10" discontinued Rockford Fostgate Punch HE2's on ebay. (but I'd probably be underpowering them a bit...I believe they want 400w rms)
* Single discontinued 12" Rockford Punch HE2
* Rockford Fosgate Punch P2 (2-10's or 1 12")
* Pioneer 306dvc 12"
I think thats it. I'd have to go single voice coil for anything that I'm pairing up. Otherwise all single 12's would be Dual voice coil. Suggestions? Should I go single 12 or 2 10's? I listen to rock and roll and like tight, punchy bass.
