well, I am a sucker for old stuff, doesn't really matter what it is, I just like anything form the 60's and 70's so I picked up a little project. Should only take me a month or so to get it done, only thing that has me concerned is the slide surface itself, its pretty banged up. shouldn't be too hard to replace though, just a really thin piece of metal. plan is to do it a nice red metal flake. Once I get it done and get it put up and everything I am going to build a little "playhouse"

under it as well.

If it isn't TOO crazy expensive, this is the exact paint/look I am planning on:

Were you just sitting around one day and you were like, "I wish I had a janky *** piece of old metal to clutter up my yard with and give my kids tetanus. I would totally bling that bish out yo."?
#1 it is fiberglass except the diamond plate steps and the slide surface.

#2 it's not "old and janky" it antique. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

#3 it was free and came with the trailer.

#4 I'm not blinging it out, I am "restoring" it.

#5 I only have one kid and he won't be near it until it is finished.

I doubt its from the 60's or 70's. Its proly from that park that shut down in 93 or somethin.
nope... it is for sure form the mid 60's. the park playground sat around for almost a year while they rebuilt the pavilions and all the "money making" stuff at the park since it was hit by the Floods of '08. This was the original slide that was installed when the park was built back in the mid 60's. No one could give me an exact year but they sad their records show the park construction finished in like 1966, so It is def. from the mid 60's.

not everyone is going to think it is neat of course but I knew there would be a few that would appreciate it. BTW, I too watch American Pickers and have been doing that for like 5-6 years now but not quite on their level. I've actually sold stuff to them before, well, the fat guy wasn't around back then...

I failed to mention it was FREE and it came with the trailer so... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
