picked up a new project... (you WON'T guess, so don't try)

We had a slide exactly like that in my hometown growing up. It still has nothing on an old fashioned curly slide. I big spiral about a story tall that we used to hang off the edges 15 feet in the air.

I still highly doubt it was from the 60's, Just because ford completed F150s in the 60's doesnt mean mine is a 60's model. That could have been put there at any time. Regardless, i guess it is pretty cool and you cant argue with a free trailer.
LOL... if you think that is even remotely the same you are retarded LOL...

I talked to public works again and they verified the park was built in 1968 and everything there was original to the build. the city keeps track of everything like this, It's not like someone can just sneak in there and put in a brand new slide and sneak out. The park became really nasty and overgrown and wasn't used for probably 15-20 years. then when the floods hit on 2008 they got a bunch of money and decided to redo this park since it is now a more populated area. It took them like 4-5 days just to cut down and clear out all of the trees, bushes and other junk that was hiding the park. It took us about 30 minutes after that to actually drag it out and to the trailer.

Point being... whether you "think" it is from the 60's or not doesn't change the fact that it is.

the trailer wasnt free retard. this kid has bullshitted on this forum more then my 14 year old cousin has about how many girls hes fucked.

got some work done on it today... Skye and I got it all tore apart, I would say probably about 90% of the nuts/bolts snapped off which is no big deal as I wouldn't have reused them anyways. We got some of the fiberglass work done and even a couple smaller spots got the bondo and primer on 'em. We have already decided on a pretty big change which is the paint. After how much time we spent today doing the few spots we did, we came to the conclusion it just wouldn't be worth the time to make it as perfect as it would need to be for the metal flake automotive paint.

So we are just going to use high gloss exterior house paint, no sure on the color now though, thinking may be the cherry red still or me might try to find something like a Sassy Grass green color not sure yet. We are going to do the underside of it black though, that much we did establish LOL... Not sure what to do with the rail and steps, they are galvanized and I am not sure how paint would stick to that. Might just use that "spray paint" gold galvanizing stuff or something, IDK....

Nice, progress is always nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. As far as the galvanized goes, if you go to a commercial painting store they will have some different primers that are designed to make it so that you can paint over it but they will be more expensive. I'm actually an estimator for a commercial painting company during the day lol, and in all of my proposals my company requires me to exclude painting of any and all galvanized metals because paint doesn't like the shit even with the primers and DTM (direct to metal) paint as they call it...especially when the weather starts to get to it like I would imagine will happen to this being outside.. It will make it look good at first but It will wear off pretty quickly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Yeah, I am a painter (did collision repair/refinishing for a few years and now I own a small residential/commercial painting company) but I have just never had to paint anything that has been galvanized. I think I might just have them blasted and see how it all looks after that and then go from there.
