ok I need some help fellas. Ive got around $300 for the sub setup.

Heres what you need to know.

I want either one 15, or 2 12's.

12"s would have to be dual4 and be able to hand 600w rms a piece

15" would need to be dual 2 and be able to handle 1200W rms.

this will be daily, and ported. Im thinking about competing in the high school drags around here, so ill more than likely have a removeable port for tuning at the drags. The amp I have running is an Audiobahn A2150HCT

More SPL than sq, around 70/30, something like that.

The setup will be in the trunk of a 96 chevy beretta.

The headunit (if it matters) will be Pioneer DEH-8600mp.

Wiring will more than likely be 1/0g and big3 upgrade soon.

I'm sure you could find an SL15 for around that price. If you don't want SQ, I'm sure you could go that route. Only thing I would recommend doing is to get a decent amp. I'm sure there are other options out there.

some places to buy the subs would be nice, like a good cheap price site and such and the price of the sub(s). Also should i consider selling my amp? It will be pushing what i want it to do, but so far people are telling me to sell it and goto hifonics or something. Whats your opinion on my amp, and if i should sell it what amp should i get?

Whats your opinion on my amp

It's an Audiobahn. That's probably the only thing I can say about it. I would check out Zapco, HiFonics (older models first), Orion 1200D (specifically). MTX also makes a decent class D amp around 1000W, just don't remember the name. Any of those would be better than what you have. Hell man, even Jensen would be better than what you have.

Does anyone around here ever take the time to search? I swear theres about 50 of these threads a day. Just pick one seriously. They are all great subs.. I don't see how you could go wrong with any of them.

Forget those subs ^^. You will need two Type R's to get the SPL you want and L7s sound terrible ported even for people seeking loud. I think ive found the perfect sub, its an RE HC 15" dual 2 ohm.
