Picasso (sp) 2000D

ok i got 2 s15L7s in a ported box would the picasso 2000D power them i have both of them down to 1ohm shoudl i be looking to get another one of them or that one is just fine?

If the subs are dual 4 it would be a 1ohm load. It sounds like what you are saying is, your subs are dual 2 and you have them at 1 ohm each, so you would have a 2ohm load if you wired it in a series. The 2000d puts out 1500@ 2ohm if I am not mistaken. So 750wrms to each sub. Also to answer your second question I would not get a second amp. It would be too much power for those subs, and a significant strain on your charging system.

my pca2000d was an animal. i blew it being a jackass, cant wait to have it sent off for repair to power the btl:naughty:

I blew my first PCA 1500d a little while ago, but finally got time and money to get it fixed. It should come back with a birthsheet so I'll post on what it put out.

yes u are correct they are wired to gether to be dual 1's so it should b putting 1000rms to each sub i think witch is what the 07 s15l7 calls for any adia on sp lvls??? its in a 00 durango

witch btw the altinater in them does crank out **** good

the subs are 2000peak and 1000rms

the amp is a 1 channel. output(watts): rms @ 4 ohms 1100x1

rms@ 2 ohms 1500x1 rms @ 4ohms mono 2000x1@ 1ohm

so after that info should i be getting another 2000d?

IMO I think a second amp would be overkill on your electrical system and and the L7s. Also what were coils? you said that you had them wired together to be dual 1. So I will assume that each sub has 2ohm DVCs. So from there you can get a 2ohm or .5ohm load. So 750wrms to each sub is what you would get if you ran 2ohm. I am not sure if the Picasso can handle .5 daily, but you could try, then you would get 1000+ to each sub.
