Photoshop People

yeah i have photoshop 7, and i want some tips on what to use in there to do this jobs like what on the toolbar etc

use the lasso tool, and zoom to like 400% to outline the part of the car that you want to change......

Then carefully choose your color and fill it in (push delete first to clear the whole selected area as to not have to fill in each individual pixel with color)....

I may recommend using a very gradual gradient so that the paint doesn't look fake....

To make this effect you can also (on two seperate layers) put a black fill in, and on the next layer up put your color fill and make the layer transparent (partially anyways)....

Once you fool around a bit, you can use tools such as chrome to really kinda dress it up...

Does any of this help or make sense? If not just let me know, I'll fill ya in with some more tricks if I can

Easiest way is to zoom in on the car, outline just the paint...or whatever your painting...onces it's outlined desaturate the paint, then you can use the hue/saturation controls to color it, or color balance.

If you want an ultra-realistic effect you can use cell shading, but that's a lot of explaining.

yeah that helps me out alot if you guys just tell me the tools and stuff to use im pretty good and messing around with it and seeing what it can do.

ok when you go to my page go to the 3rd page last picture its my dads car he wants me to paint it a different color and stuff like that to see how it would look. See the molding and that down around the bottom and on top of the fender well it comes out so how would i do that?? Thank you
