Firefox is based off chromium but its packed full of features that causes many memory leaks.
Chome is much more efficient

I don't have any problems with Firefox. It's not that bad, lol. Is it?

I tried Chrome a while back and didn't really care for it but I may have to do another comparison and see. Where will I notice the biggest improvement, like Youtube and stuff?

where can i find this information, did i miss a shift in the development of firefox or something? i swear it was out before chromium existed?

it depends how intensive what you're doing in the browser is imo... but i havent used firefox for probably 2 years now. some things are more likely to load in firefox, but it can lag, freeze, and crash in strange ways. if the development changed drastically since then im sure theyre very similar

So I'm in Chrome now and some pages do load faster but Youtube and eBay is way worse now, but I think I know what the problem is and it will be fixed after the holidays. I'm still running my 2004 Dell with a single core 2.8ghz, lol. Firefox seems to work better on that than Chrome does.

I always told myself when the Dell dies I will get a new laptop. Stupid thing won't die so I'ma have to jsut get with it and buy something new anyway.

Don't laugh too hard, I'm old.

Firefox is based off gecko, but its newer development is being based off electron, the base of chomium.
Its current stable channel is gecko, but will soon be fully converted to electron.

I have Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Edge on my PC. My use varies. I found those hotlink fixes a few weeks ago and have been using them (even added them to my sig). I have thousands of photos to move from PB and am not sure where I want to go yet.

I found those links in the comments section of this page:

https://www.ghacks.net/2017/07/02/photobucket-alternatives-for-third-party/?hotlinkfix=1513980037808

Had these three listed, this is the one not listed here yet:

The real question is how long will the hotfix last. The primary reason people (myself included) liked Photobucket was because the file/link extensions were predictable.
The extensions just load the image page source and extract the direct image url and loads it.
Unless photobucket plans to change its entire system it wont happen.

You can always look at the extension script to see how it works.
