Phoenix gold 8v line driver (how to install)?

Because i have a Sony deck and im getting like .7 of a volt coming off the rca's

My question is: how do i hook up this unit (power wise)? says it takes 13.8v dc.

And it says "It will accept a signal from 1-5 volts and increase it up to over 8 volts" Since mine is a decent ways UNDER 1 volt does that mean it wont work?

Run your rca's to the input on the line driver, then your rca's on the output can be upto 8v

power and earth wire, prob also remote from the headunit

I will have this unit in my trunk RIGHT next to my amp. Can i feed some child wires off of the + on the amp and the rem on the amp to it and ground it off on the chassis or even to the gnd slot on the amp?
