building a box for a phoenix gold octane r 15. can't find much info on it. thinking that 4 cubes tuned to around 34 is a safe guess. opinions.
i've had this sub in storage all summer. noone bought it. i finally sold it, and found that i don't have a manual. it's the one with the blue led's that light up blue in the center of the cone. no experience whatsoever with it. i told the kid that i could get it pretty loud, for a low powered system. i'm sure it will, but i'ver never heard it, and was kinda talking out the side of my neck (times are tough $$$). that was all a long way of asking how they sound. That is about perfect for them.
they aren't for me. i just don't want to look like an idiot when he puts them in. wasn't sure if they're crap or not. i like phoenix gold rsd, so i shot my mouth off.I know which ones they are, I ran them I'm highschool.. They sound pretty good. They are very efficient, and have great output. You should be happy with them.
the box is no problem. 15's can vary in box size from 3 all the way to 6 cubes. hate to get it a full cube off.Well they certainly aren't as good as the rsds or rsdcs, or the old titanum 15s, but they are decent. They will get loud, suprisingly loud actually. Build a decent box, and you will be fine for the kid
