Phillips MP3 Player Help...it sucks

I bought the Phillips Gogear 6GB. Mp3 player last May for myself it worked fine up untill the last couple months i have had it. I haven't used it in awhile and i just now found it and put it on the charger and it says "Please connect player to PC"...So i do and couple minutes later on the MP3 player's screen it shows the sign for when it is connected to the PC. But nothing is happening on my Computer. So i open up media player to sync it and its not recognized by windows media so i hit F5 to refresh and nothing happens...So i download the Phillips Device Manager and its not even recognized in that. So now i have no idea i lost install CD and owners manual during the move i dunno if its the MP3 player or my new computer. Oh and i tried reset on the MP3 player but nothing is different.-any ideas-???
