i got these hooked up today. overall. they are great comps.

when i first hooked them up, i didnt notice anything too special about them. but after i tweeked on my amp, and adjusted the x-overs i got them sounding great.

mids are loud enough (they are in my q-logic kick pannels) and i can feel the mid bass on my foot pretty well. highs are really crisp, not too harsh, but not too quiet. i would say they deffinatly sound better then the mb quart reference comps i had, i think mainly cause of the mids. im powering them with a orion 4004 and they get loud enough to hurt, but dont distort at all. im considering a larger amp, but im not sure if there is a reason to go bigger.

just thought ide give everyone my input on these.

i just ordered two more sets of these tonight (one set for doors, and one for rear) for the price, you cant go wrong.

Yea, on ebay there's a guy/store selling them for $103 shipped for the 6s and $95 shipped for the 5s. If you can, bi amp them. Talked to Errin at PG, the Xover is the week link in those comps. I'm getting the 6s in 3 days and I'm going to run them bi amped. He recamended 50-75wrms to the tweet w/CLEAN power, and 100-150wrms to the mid, X'ed over at 3k-3.5k Hz. You're able to give them a total of 225wrms because the Xover and its parts limit the power it can handle. For me, A SQ freak, it makes more sence now that I have the Eclipse CD8455 to where the front outputs will do the tweets and the rear outputs will do the mids, each w/thier own 5 band parametric EQ. As apposed to 5 for the fronts and 5 for the rears. Now, I know they're not the Elites but someone (??) from PG stated that they're 90% of the Elites. And the Elites you can't bi amp. The tweet is VERY sensitive to DC current.

I got mine installed as well and so far I'm happy with the way they are, crossover seems fine for right now. Then again these are my first Components so I only have shitty 60.00 pioneer coaxials to compare them too.

I got mine from IKE's sound and they were shipped the next day.

I'm only supplying them with 75 watts RMS and seriously, I dont see why they would need more, by the time I turn my radio half way they are already too loud.

Pena.

How did you tweak them ? I left mine with default settings. Not sure what I'm supposed to do, I 'm new to this phase thing and +3 boos on tweets etc or whatever.

I bought some of these also, but I am really confused on how to mount the tweeters any way but coaxially... They didnt come with any sort of tweet pods, flush mount kits or anything as i have seen in other component sets... i guess i could use them coaxially, but i got comps so i could relocate the tweeter to a better area. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
