Not getting the type of bass response out of my newly installed speakers I think I may have crossed some of the wires up. What is a quick way to tell if they are in phase or not?

Look at the subs if they pull in when should be pushing that is one way. If headunit has ability to switch phase try that if it gets louder or just swap RCA's

9v battery, if mid pushes out it's in phase, if it pulls in it's out of phase....

Play some music and fade the sound all the way to the front, then pan it from left to right. If you have the most bass when the balance is centered then your electrical phase is good on the front speakers. This is how you test to find out if your wires are swapped on one speaker.

switch the wires if it sounds better they were out of phase if they sound like **** you were right the first time

FYI....some cars sound better/have more midbass with one mid wired out of phase....
