Ok, i'll make a Cliff's version, because i'm short on time :
My lone 12" subwoofer started intermittently turning on an off. No specific rhyme or reason, though it did seem to come *back* on a few times right when heavy bass hit in the songs I was listening to.
Started cutting out more and more over the last two weeks.
Finally stopped working altogether (except for ~10 second periods, three-four times max) the last two days.
Checked the connections, and they're all fine. Amp is on, has great power at the terms & the distro block, RCA's are in, wires inside the sub-box are fine, no fuses are popped.
Resistance, directly on the individual VC's, measured from my voltmeter came up as nada. Tried along the wires, and @ the wiring cup too, nothing at all... Figure it's a blown sub right (despite being very careful about keeping the gain/BB waaaaay down and the sub-sonic filter set high enough) Since then, however... the sub has kept playing for 5-10 seconds at a time, while driving around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I know there has to be some rational explanation for this, I KNOW there has to be one but I checked the friggin' sub with two multimeters to just make sure, and despite both of the MM's showing as zero resistance, this sub KEEPS PLAYING!?
Somebody smack me if it's something obvious... or come join my conspiracy cult of the Phantom Subwoofer... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif
