pg vs infinity

Im going to be putting 2 10's in my 91 mustang's trunk and am thinking of either 2 infinity perfects or 2 pg rsd 10's. Im mainly looking for sq and it will be in a slightly smaller box. Opinions please.

Yes they will be in a smaller sealed box. Im leaning towards the infinitys cause their only $150 for 2 right now. Who on here can draw me up some box plans?

Sealed box plans are very easy to create. Just use a calculator from a site. Go here and scroll down to the rectangular box calculator. http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm

If you need, I or someone else can help you, but youll need the dimensions of the trunk. How much power are you going to give the infinity's?

When I was researching subs for a couple of months before buying a pair of those 10.1's myself, the only complaints I saw with them was when some idiot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif would try to overpower them.

When Infinity rates them for 350 watts RMS, they mean it.

Still, there is the 3 year warranty.............

so just how good are the rsd's? I have seen saw a review of the 12" on this site and it makes them sound too good to be true given their price.

I've heard around the bend trhat the RSD drops lower than any other woofer they have made. (probably not the elites) What's your take on the lowend? I've been thinking about getting one cuz they are so **** cheap. I ask because I know you had some elites.

The elite, and the xenon both drop a little lower than the rsd. The rsd is a better woofer overall than the xenon though. It doesnt fall off at the 50+ range like the xenon does, but it still plays very low with authority. I havent personally seen the rsds with tons of power, but supposedly they are able to take 1k+ easy. Im still waitn for pg to finally put the rsd competition subs in production..
