I wanted these back when they came out but price was way out of my budget.

For 300 bucks can I go wrong? Anyone with some experience or knowledge on these?

I think thats the total for some reason. I thought it was 150 per side.

They are great speakers and work good off of 300rms each.

Ok, I was wrong, they are 300rms each side but I will just have 100rms per side. Should be fine as I dont play my music really loud at all. Also, I see they have a 3 inch voice coil?? holy shit!!

Playing music loud has nothing to do with the RMS you're feeding your speakers.

They want 300 per side, and depending on how they are built, most components can be pushed with quite a bit more than what the stated rms is, if for music that is.

You'd be better off with rsd's or something than giving them 1/3 the power they want

They are excellent comps but you will need to give them at least 150 watts a side rms to get them to really sound the best they can. the drivers have 3" vc's so they really are monsters.

Like mentioned, they love power, and they love to be in a sealed application. So if you dont plan on deadning your doors, then dont bother with these comps... Great sounding set. Essentially the morel elates with a different crossover, and basket...

i was thinking about buying these... but them being discontinued kinda turned me off.. and as said above.. they would need a very very solid setup to reach their true potential
