PG TI's leads...fixable?pics...

I'm not sure what all that black gunk is on the inside of the sub woofer, but would it be possible to attatch another tinsel to there? Do you super glue that part and solder where it goes to the terminal? And does it matter where the wire is touching on the inside of the sub..
