PG Tantrum 1200.1?

Since sounddomain has a pretty good deal on "factory renewed" Phoenix Gold amps, I'm thinking about getting the T1200.1 to power my 12W7. I realize this will put out a bit more than the rated RMS for the W7, but I'm going to keep the gains turned down a bit anyway. I see that the fuse rating is 80A, but I've heard that this amp actually draws more than that. If anybody who has one could chime in on that, it'd be much appreciated. I don't want to buy the fuses only to have them blow right away.

JMAC is johhny on the spot, but yeah, the few I have got to play with were great fairly efficent and pretty clean from what I remember, if their is a warrenty I say go for it

Mmmmmm.... that is one sexy birth sheet there. 156A draw is a lot more than the 80A rating, but as long as I keep the gains under control, I think my electrical system can handle it.

Can't wait to get this all installed and setup so I can turn the bass way down and let that power go to waste (*snicker* yeah right).

Whats a better line. The ne QX series or Tantrums? Cause i just got the QX500.1D mono block amp, and its hella nice, 2ohm stable.

Is there a disandvantage to running this amp (since its a A/B) compared to say a class D MTX amp in a competion?

Thanks.. I'll probably go with the PG and have it power 2 HX2... I'll just turn my gain about half way..
