Can these be reconed unlike the older RSDs?

Not positive, more than likely not though.. The only pg sub i remember that had a re cone kit available for it was the 12d elite..

well I had one enclosure tuned to 25hz and that sounded good. I just went to a higher tuning to see what it was like. It had more output and I didn't see much of a difference in sound quality. Well for the Aq hd3 they recommend 40hz tuning and they say it gets low on this tuning. I know many people tuned high and low with these subs and really like the sound quality and output out of them.

yeah most people think that. I like when the sub plays very quick and doesn't sound sloppy on my rock music like playing a kickdrum.

Update!

Its been over two months now since i have had the RSDC 12" and i am EXTREMELY happy with it.

Im still pushing the sub with 500w rms of power (set by DMM) and it is very very strong. I dont think i would be able to handle 1200w like some people are giving. In the song Put on by jeezy and kanye there is a part where the bass hits at exactly 500w rms 2 min and 48 seconds in i believe. That bass hits so hard that i have to cover my ears or they feel like they are going to implode, not to mention my car feels like its about to fall apart when it hits the lows on that note.

I have since Did the BIG 3 upgrade and i have a stable 14.4 volts coming out of my battery, now the only problem i have is that my alternator is barely able to supply enough amps for it, its 130 amp and the sony amp takes 70amps alone, so if i have my lights on at night i have HEAVY dimming on full volume.

Anyway i thought i would just update you guys! This is a great quality sub and i would recommend it to everyone!

sweet. For my two 10" Rsdc's I may try out a sealed enclosure for them just to see how they sound. I have had them in numerous ported enclosures already. I think they get really loud. No where around here to go see how many decibels this is though.

Well, i wish i had a place to DB meter my 12" rsdc but i dont know of anyone :| My neighbor has a cheapo walmart meter but when i use it it always shows 130, even if i turn the volume down a bit, so i dont believe that is accurate in any way.

Im almost sure im not hitting 140 some DB, or my ears would explode.

Yes I actually do, with my 40hz enclosure. Its way louder then my other enclosures. All my other vids were with my 33hz enclosures. I just never got around to take the footage off my camcorder yet. Just got some nice flex on it and some other stuff.
