PG RSD 65cs vs Image Dynamics CTX65CS

Hello folks!

I am looking to purchase my first after market component set and I have narrowed it down to these two. My last 2 cars had OEM 6.5 inch component sets in them, but I never bothered to replace. Too lazy to take off the door panels I guess...lol.

Anyway, I think the PG and ID sets are maybe my best bet. I am looking to most likely run them active off a 4 channel amp from my Alpine HU.

Audio-N-More has the ID set for $113 plus about $20 in shipping. I know you can typically get the PG set off eBay for around $100 or less. So, maybe a $40 or so difference between them.

Install info:

Car: Acura 97 CL2.2

HU: Alpine cda-9813

Amp: Cadence SQA-4 4 Channel

Sub: 1 12 inch Type R

Sub Amp: SQA-1 (awesome unit for the money)

So, opinions between the two sets?

The id will own the pg for sure. Strong midbass plus midrange. Also nicer Tweets that is smoother and not harsh

Agreed ^ the ID's are a bit more detailed in all aspects compared to the PG's

although the rsd's are pretty good for their price, spend the extra few bucks and go ID.

Man, that is a heck of a price for those ID's. ID for sure! Had the Rsd's, didn't care for them after a while.

Yeah I have actually ran both, the ID is much better in the midrange....

i have the PG RSD 65cs

I just got them and they dont frickin fit. and if i send it back, i have to pay a 15% restockin fee. these have not been mounted. all i did was stick the speaker in and see if it fit, and it didn't so i put them up. send me a PM if you're interested

I had the PG RSD and now have the ID's and we are comparing 2 different quality comp sets. The ID's have much better SQ, midbass and power handling.
