PG Octane R8.0.4 vs Lanzar OPTI1400D

the x600's a xenon isn't it??

What you get with the xenon is versatility in that it does about the same power from 1-4 ohms, and they reportedly will produce quite a bit more than rated power ~700-800.

The Lanzar will work great with a pair of 400-500w dual 4's. It is accurately rated at 1000w at 1 ohm so it will be more powerful at that impedance, but not significantly.

They're both pretty efficient. IIRC the PG is quite a bit more efficient at 2-4 ohms than at 1, and I think it's a little more powerful there also.

I would personally give the overall quality advantage to PG, but the Lanzar's a pretty good amp as well. If the extra 200-250w matters to you the Lanzar's the way to go, but there shouldn't be THAT much of an audible difference.
