PG Cyclone on eBay....

yeah thats a little much for a sub that will fall apart evenutally. Which is why the inventor Thomas Danley specifically told Pheonix Gold NOT to make the vanes out of plastic, and cause they're cheap bastards they did it anyways.

But if anyone wants to buy my 18 MT for $400 i'll gladly sell it to them and buy this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Here's a good thread about it - http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42090
I miss a lot of the people in that thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Keep in mind, this sub was $1199 MSRP when it was in production and even dealer cost was about $700, so to pick one up for $300 pretty decent, even if it is 7 years old ...
According to the article that I have from the period, the MSRP was $799.

This thing makes me laugh, it looks just like a box fan in a tube, wtf was it msrped at $1200 for? So it makes noise, but what about bass? Would having this running at 300w 20hz make your windows a tuning fork compared to a normal driver at 3kw 20hz?

The moving vanes are made of foam, the ramps are made of plastic. From what I read and could find, they used foam was for mass production rather more exotic materials. The reason why is to keep the MSRP reasonable. $800 is expensive enough (and I don't think they sold that many at that price), but MSRP's of over $1000 probably would be a tough sell...

I am guessing that is what your talking about...

I recently just bought one. I haven't installed it yet or built a box for it. Its not SPL sub, but its supose to get really low (down to 11hz) and its supose to be a really clean SQ Sub. I have been told by other Cyclone owners that its low end output is equavlent to 4 12 or 2 18's.
