I have a dog and he often rides in the car with me. Being as obesessed with car audio as I am I would like to know if anyone here knows about a dog's hearing. I know they hear frequencies typically ranging from 40hz-60khz and their hearing is better then ours, but at the same time they hear higher frequencies, so they experience the world differently accoustically. Wiki says so, anyway does anyone know if sound systems are as damaging/less damaging/or more damaging to a dog's hearing then to our own? Should I keep it off when pup is in the car, or can I crank it and it affects him less than me.

yea my dogs in the car with me alot, i usually just turn my subs off. he does look towards the back when my subs hit the lows so I figured it was a little annoying.

its only 1 button to turn off my amp so no prob just regular music volume.

my dog rides with me a good bit i always turn it down when shes in the car...i love my dog and wouldnt want to risk hurtin her hearing if theres even a small chance. like said above ...if you love your dog you can prob go without the bass for a few mins //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
