my friend bought some pawn shop subs for his girl. For some reason he is having this dude that has no clue what he's doing put it in. This friend wanted to connect the power wire to the negative terminal. I convinced him not to and now he's filing the threads off screw that mounts to the bumper where he wants to ground. These stupid *** motherfuckers aren't even listening to me, so **** it I went inside. They don't even know how many ohms the voice coils are, let alone what a ohm is.

A guy came to my house the other day because he wanted me to look at his system that his cousin had put in. When I looked at the amp it was literally sparking. He had the scorche walmart power wire the wrong way around (fuse by the amp not battery) and the power wire screwed into the + output of the amp. His ground wire was one of the types of wires with three different 16 gauge wires in one jacket, with only one wire screwed into the amp yet all of them on his ground spot, which was on the trunk lid. There was also not a ring terminal found through out the whole car.

I once had a roomate that always insisted on doing his own installs. Usually I ended up finishing for him. I remember a time when he smoked one his amps, his exact words were "Derrick,... will you come smell this? I think I hooked it up wrong." This same guy hung a horn tweeter on his rear-view mirror for his highs...
