To most of my friends I am the go to 'Technical Guy'. I fix computers install audio, home audio whatever. Ya know its almost kind of like I know what im doing.

It really pisses me off when a friend comes to you for help, you give him good knowledgeable advice and then he basically shits on it.

The last year I've refused to do any favors for most minus maybe 4 or 5.

Its just ridiculous how bad some 'installers' are. Hell, I don't even do this for a living and I know for a fact I could do better installs, systems, etc than most in my area. I can't tell you how many times a friend got a hold of me because a local business jacked his stuff up. Its almost like people will take ANY short cut they can. Why spend 1000+ dollars at a shop when you can spend 300.00 and do it yourself. Makes no sense to me whatsoever.

built a box (2 cubes @ 35 hz) for a single 12, for a co-worker yesterday. he had a d2 cvr, and a d4 pioneer in a prefab, lol. I said i'd build it for his old prefab, and whichever sub he didn't end up using. needless to say, it was more of a favor than anything else as I have no use for prefabs and junk subs... anyways, i told him that the cvr, wired in a series, is the only reasonable option since he is using a class ab 2 chan, bridged. We put it in, it sounds ok for a single 12. Guess he was expecting more, because the first thing he does is pick up the pioneer and say, "Imma put this in instead, it looks better". smh. oh well.
