People with big gauges in your ear

Did you ever think of putting a small speakers in your ear and hooking you iPod up to it? Like putting some tweeters in your ear or something?

How is what you are asking for any different than the typical over-the-ear headphones?

The only problem is, once the headphone speakers get large enough, the tiny amp in an ipod, cell phone or (for us old people) walkman simply wont drive the speakers properly.
