The Bush tax cuts were extended through 2012.

The rich evade taxes the most, yet have the most political power. Imagine being able to write off your yearly vacation on your taxes. Yeah that's what wealthy ppl do. I'm not mad at them either, they work the system so they can stay rich and everyone else can only dream of being on their financial level

People that dont pay taxes are usually POOR ,rich folks pay taxes some pay more some pay less.

IRS and its tax schedule is 100% subjective and VERY involved - As a business owner myself

its my job to put as much money in my pocket as possible and as little as I can to uncle sam

how I get to that number takes my accountant and I weeks of figuring out..

And for the record the IRS is nothing but a group if Gestapo,crooked as a SOB,liars and horrendous

before Obama ...I lived in a small house in the country and drove a 10 year old car...now thanks to Obama...I live in the biggest house in town and own more rides than anyone in town....Obama has done more for the Native Americans than any of the previous Presidents ever have.....

That's funny, because I clearly remember you posting pics of your multiple houses, expensive stereo equipment, and dozens of cars, long before Obama was elected.

The tax laws of this country are far too complicated, and confusing. Read what Ignatowski said above, it takes him and his accountant weeks to work out his proper tax settlement. Even the IRS itself, how it was formed, and if its even a legal branch of the government, is confusing. There is much evidence that the IRS was never created by an act of congress, and is actually a private contractor operating out of Puerto Rico.

Our govt does not deserve our tax money the way they waste it, 150 MILLION (WTF) on a MLK Statue and had it Made in China

I always wondered why the US Government never implemented a 1/2% National Sales Tax. That would be a sure fire way to make certain that EVERYONE pays taxes, aside from cash transactions. Regardless, 1/2% is small enough to look like a good thing and generally won't make a large of enough difference to get people fired up. I'd be willing to bet they could get away with as much as 1% on a national sales tax level and most wouldn't balk at it.

Edit: I'm not for a national sales tax, but I am surprised that it hasn't happened yet.

Just think,if GOVT did not give our money away in foreign aid,offer free military,protected oil for free and

we'd be rich.....Out govt gives away billions to country's that hate us - A little drug testing in Welfare would save a few billion

TAX IMPORTS is what Id do.........Every dam piece of garbage that comes in from china to Walmart

a 10% tax of its raw costs......Let the CEOs pay for the layoffs here in America....
