peizeo horns keep muting

I have some horns and when i turn them up, they mute ( or go to protection) when i have the sub off i can turn em up a bit louder befiore they mute. am i under powering them?

i doubt they are louder with the sub off. they may seem louder since nothing is overpowering them. most likely they have some sort of protection system that shuts them off when they get too hot.

they dont get loud at all.

no what im saying when i have the sub on i can turn in to 24 unitl it mutes. and when the sub is off i can turn it up to like 26

how do i solve this. I know they are louder than this. I am think my amp is not powerfull enough and when i turn em up the power distorts or some shit and the horn goes to protection
