so i am getting a set of these and a set of lpg 25nfa tweets to do a active setup. From what i hear, the peerless doesn't get great midbass out put, what could i do to improve it? I'm already sound deadening the doors, covering openings with liquid nail and plexiglass, mdf baffles for speakers, molding clay on both sides of the mdf ring and on the sides, and using the speaker pads from ss audio. Is there anything else i can to boost midbass output?

to further boost output?

building an enclosure for your mids is the safest bet... think ported //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

out of fiberglass? how would this affect the midrange sound?

what!! who told peerless doesnt get good midbass. Peerless definition set gets unbelivable midbass. LOL. O well, i like peerless.

i heard that they had average midbass with extrordinary mid clarity...

it doesn't really...

it boosts your low end and... thats about it. fiberglass is about the only way to get enough airspace inside a door... it will most likely involve irreversible modifications.

sounds like fun right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

my advice to you... if you decide to glass inside your doors, do NOT attach it in any permanent way to the actual frame of the door, attach it to the door panel instead.

good advice, and i decided against the idea... Instead, i will seal off the door with sound deadener, plug the holes with liquid nails and plexiglass, and use a speaker pad behind the speaker. Also i am using a mdf baffle with non hardening clay so that should be enough
