How so? I left off wins which favors Verlander, so what if one pitcher has a better ERA, and the other has better stats like Whip and BAA, how would you determine a winner? Also what if Pedro gets injured like he did last year? It really isn't fair to compare them when one pitcher can't last a full season.

Wins are a team stat. If you wants to include wins I will since it favors Verlander. The Tigers will score a ton of runs and Verlander should win 20 games this year.

That's why he is a better pitcher at this point in their careers. The offense only helps Verlander get wins, which I wanted to leave off.
