no. i highly doubt 1 amp will being all of this to it full potential. you should run the pdx-5 to your components/coax's and buy a separate amp to power your sub.
So it better to buy those amps?

Alpine PDX-F4 for speakers

CEA-2006 Power Rating

100W RMS x 4 (4Ω,

Alpine PDX-M6 for the sub?

CEA-2006 Power Rating

600W RMS x 1 (4Ω,≤0.02% THD+N, 14.4V)

Thing is, it's a double of price. Thanks.

may be double the price but you will be happier in the long run. and you dont nessecarily have to get those amps. you could find something nicer used for the same price if not cheaper. the pdx are a quality line of amplifiers but the price is a bit outrageous imo.

well with the price your going to pay for the pdx's id go with a sundown 100.4 for the doors and maybe a rockford 500.1 or something for the sub. it all depends on budget and power. just shop around alittle before you make any decisions.

Depends on your listening style/ preferences. The PDX 5 can be enough for a simple daily driver system.

on 300RMS, they Type R will still perform pretty well. Just build a nice proper enclosure for it.

x2 on this.

Single amp will be easy and less of a strain on electrical.

If you dont plan on competing, 300 rms for 12" type r is plenty. Just make the box slightly larger then spec. Like say 2.75 cubes @ 34 hz, Should be perfect

So 300w RMS is OK, Thanks.

Does it has to be vented enclosure or sealed? Basically I'm looking for a "kick bass", when bass notes can be felt in chest, not in a extreme/show-off and annoying way, but very softly and slightly.

I was going to purchase a used PDX-5 a couple of years ago from a friend of mine. I regretted disconnecting my amplifiers to try his used PDX-5. As for Alpine's claim of 300 watts on the sub channel... I'd buy it if the amplifier were to be struck by lightning.

From an audiophile perspective the PDX-5 was perfect for having a sub that disappeared into the sound. The subwoofer disappeared so well, it was like I didn't even have a subwoofer installed.

That amp is a bit weak for the sub, but it can work. Just make sure you don't max out your gains if you're not getting enough power.
