Thermaltake Soprano VB1430BWS Black Chassis: 0.8 mm SECC, Front Door: Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 430W Power Supply - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811133156

Includes 430w PSU, 1 90mm fan, and 2 120mm fans. = 99.99

As far as I know all those parts except the OEM come with one year warranties.

But the thing is, parts of that caliber don't crap out very often //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
You're gonna put all that high end gear in that box with a no-name 430 watt power supply that came with the case?? Come on man! We're talking apples to apples, not apples to prunes!!

And you're also missing anything comparable to iLife installed. And Microsoft Office, and iWork, does your PC have a foreign Language translator built in?? My iMac does, and so does the Mac Pro. So you probably have, I'll shoot from the hip here, about $500 in missing software too.

Thermaltake is no-name? Haha, you really know NOTHING about computers, sorry man, just leave this thead //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Notice how Apple doesn't even bother listing what kind of PSU is in the case or how many fans it has.

Heres a hint: manufactured computers use the worst possible components and don't list all the specs to keep the consumer in the dark.
No, thermaltake is a good brand. My point is a 430 watt PSU is not enough juice to run the system you built.

Oh, and are you gonna be available 24/7 365 days a year to answer calls about the system you just built crashing because A: You put XP Home on it, and B: You put a PSU in it that's too small?? J/K //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But seriously here. Way back in my posts, I admitted anyone can BUILD a PC to be cheaper than a Mac, I'll never say better, because that's the way I am. But if you go to Dell, like the AVERAGE consumer, you're gonna pay a lot more for a vastly inferior system. And I'm not saying inferior as in equipment, I'm talking software, customer service, you know, the stuff that makes life easier.

i believe thats what the debate was about

Well, let's be completely honest here. The "AVERAGE" consumer won't be buying a Mac either as they probably don't even know Apple exist.
Well now, that's a completely false statement if I ever heard one. I think everyone has seen the new Mac commercials lately. I know I've laughed my *** off at them.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

To sum up. The amount of knowledge you applied to making a list of parts(which is a lot compare to the average joe) i applaud you. But the mere fact is a person isnt going to waste time in searching for parts to build a computer. a person that needs a computer to get the job done for a buisness or whatnot will more than likely go through a company that will get it done for them. Like Apple or ..i guess Dell(//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif ) so if a custom pc is what it takes to compete with a "mass produced " product ,then god knows what "massproduced" pc can do the same

Considering those commercials don't even come out and SAY what product they are advertising, I would have to disagree.
Ok, yeah, you're right. I guess no one in the world is smart enough to figure out what they're advertising. You know, the don't like, oh, show the **** computer at the end of every commercial or anything.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
