i also noticed in my bios that it says fan rpm is 0

wtf is up with that?

they are both running.

not sure about the sand paper, never had to sand anything down, i'd go w/ something pretty high though. you could always ask the people at your pc store

When applying thermal paste, you only need a drop the size of a grain of rice, too much and it defeats the purpose of it

i'll shut this down and take the heat sink off and reapplyit.

ok i decided to clean everything oput and boy was it dirty

gonna see how this works beforei take the heatsink off.

what temp should i be around for the cpu on average?

like after browseing the web.

make sure you disconnect the power as well before doing any work on it. would hate to see you short something out

i did no worries

cleaned it all up and gonna run it for like 20 moremins then check the temp again

Just tolet everyone know i took the heatsink out and cleaned it all up (its wasquite dirty)

ran the pc for awhilke and the tempature is 49 degrees C

so much better than the 89 it wasearlier
