PayPal Issues - Need Some Advice

I purchased an item on another forum from a verified seller. Item was never shipped. I've been in constant contact with him and I was hoping to work something out instead of filing a claim. Unfortunately he's not responding to my messages over the past few days and I only have one more day to file the claim.

I know PayPal can be b!tches if there's no money in the account...so I'm simply wondering...if his PayPal balance is zero, but he's verified...they will draw the refund from his bank account correct? I don't want to end up filing the claim and getting no money back at all if there's nothing in there...simply because I know he will do his best to refund it as the money becomes available...and I just want my money back someway or somehow. If PayPal will pull the money though, even with a zero balance, then I'd obviously rather just do that.

Any idea what PayPal will do?

Yes, paypal will pull the money from his backup which will be his bank account/credit card.

Even if he has $0 balance they will pull the money from his credit card or bank account

Im sure Paypal will rule in your favor, even if he had everything to prove that he shipped it or what not its dam near impossible for the seller to win a paypal dispute

The seller can just submit any tracking/confirmation number.

they can submit any tracking info, and paypal can verify the address being shipped to, and if its not correct then guilty .

but file the claim and that will get the ball rolling in your favor. even if he doesnt have the money in the account

seller never shipped item...i'm not worried about whether or not ill win...that's a guarantee, he has no proof of anything. thanks for all the replies guys, ill go ahead and file the claim.

definately file the claim before its too late, theyll give him a chance to state his case before they take the money in case it all works out. good luck.

yes. file before its to late. they will want him to send them a valid tracking number., and after 10 days, they will resolve.
