I don't understand why it's ok for people to drink themselves to death but marijuana which has been proven time and time again to have great medicinal properties is a schedule 1 drug which means "high potential for abuse and no legitimate medical uses."
Something to think about:

Percentage of marijuana users that become dependent: 9%

Percentage of alcohol users that become dependent: 15%

Number of people killed from smoking pot = ZERO

Number of people killed from drinking = Billions and counting (including people who didn't even drink but were killed by some SOB who did).

BTW I'm not a pothead, but I do think it's completely idiotic that cigarettes and alchol are legal while pot is illegal.
