I think you guys are misunderstanding the thread. I believe he started this 'diversion' in the first place because of the MIP (minor in posession of alcohol) and taking random drug screens is part of the diversion requirement, which isn't uncommon. When I had my run-in with the law, I had to do basically the same thing (SE Michigan has 'JAMS', I'm sure some of you know all about it
).
