pass up an rl-p for at ed ov.2?

so I was pretty set on replacing my cvx with a 15" rl-p, but I saw how cheap the 18" ov.2 is

I ran an old flatcone for 3 years, so I have some past experience. I know that they have shit customer service, but an 18" sub for only $185? I'm planning on running either the 18" ov.2 or 15" rl-p in a 2.5-3.0cf sealed enclosure. I know they use the same buildhouse as id.. and the o series is similar to the idq series or something like that. Thoughts? Like I said I know ED cust service sucks, I was denied a warranty replacement on my sub and had to pay $90 to get it reconed.

Companies can cut corners to keep their prices down. Maybe ED does this through bad customer service? Some do it through 0 marketing.

Strange how many of you have had problems with their customer service. I've never had any problems. I still have a set of their flat cones that run strong.

Personally I'd go ED. The only thing that worries me is subwoofer design. An 18" has a lot of cone. Something has to move that cone and I'd just worry that things may break down like the spider or voicecoil alignment. I'd rather go with 2 of their ov2 16's. You missed out. They were actually having a sale on 160v2's at 50% off.
