Parts express Project question

Parts Express has a project Here that i am interested in. but i want to use these 2 10s instead of a 12. i was wondering wat i would need in terms of other transistors, resistors and stuff to add to the product list to make it all work? thanks

No, it's a budget goldwood cone. Cerwin Vega has cones that look like that as well.

Ooohhh Cerwin Vega... LOL.... It depends on the ohmage of the speakers that you want to use. It makes the x-over quite a bit more complicated because you have to add padding for the highs etc etc. Is there a particular reason that you want to use 2x 10" instead of the single 12?

As Brit and Squeak said, there's really no reason to use 10s. That project isn't about fidelity, it's about making sound. The extra bass from two cheap *** tens will not be noticeable, and if anything, will hurt the sound (you have to change up the filter).

For the simplicity that project is supposed to offer, just stick with the 12's as designed IMHO.

Why use 4x 10" when you can use one 15" which most of those vintage studio systems used. A small horn, a 4-6 inch and a 15". Shit some even used multicell horns that aren't even CD.....

That's kind of excessive either way don't you think? This isn't a high fidelity system, it isn't a ground shaker, it's just for making loud noise.
