yes. it is a subwoofer. no its not a subwoofer. yes, its a motor, but its actually a speaker.

its somthing like a di-pole somthing-or-other...

can generate 20somthing hz tones with a 24" baffle (in the picture) hooked to it from a 9v battery or somthing insane. im not sure what its actual purpose is, because if there was one - theyd put it in a car already.
