Pair of budget subs

I'm looking a for pair of descent 12" subs, 2 ohms dvc (or 4ohm single), atleast 250rms each (cvr or whatever). I'm thinking of spending about $100 maybe more if i like it (i know i'm cheap but i gotta try). I'm mainly looking for a pickup so i don't have to worry about shipping. I live in 91706 (LA country).

i don't have an amp for 1 sub either. I have a 4 channel amp that can be bridged into 2.

I would go with a single sub but i already have a box for 2. I don't have the experience and tools to build a box and it will cost me more money. This will be a replacement for the jl 12w0 that i'm currently running. The subs are rated at only 150rms each and I'm putting 300+rms to each. I mean, they can handle it fine while still being able to sound good. I've been running them for almost 2 years now. But wouldn't it be louder and/or cleaner if I get a higher rated sub?

The W0 series are very efficient and were designed to perform well with low power. You have to be careful, you can find any number of subs that have higher ratings but may not get as loud as the W0's because they're much less efficient. You should also make sure the sub you choose will work well in the airspace you have available. The wrong box can make the best speaker sound like crap.

just buy a single sub with dual 4 ohm coils and hook up one pair of channels to each coil (just make sure they're gain matched). Building a basic sealed box is very simple and a sheet of mdf isn't that expensive.

To get the most output for the buck, i suggest getting something like a Mach 5 Audio MAW 15.
